Welcome to the China Policy Barometer Survey (CPB)!

China Policy Barometer Survey is an annual survey that aims to ask Chinese citizens what they think about the major policies debates facing the nation.

CPB started at 2016 and has been run for four consecutive years. The survey data for year 2016-2018 is available and the data of 2019 is in processing.

CPB respondents are recruited using an Internet-based convenience sample. As a result respondents tend to be younger, more educated and more affluent than the average population. To correct for potential biases the data is weighted to reflect population averages based on the national census.
